Ryu Sei Ken Batto Jutsu
(龍星剣抜刀術)
Ryu Sei Ken is well known for it's good shizan (target cutting) and practical two man sword Kata. A modern art based on ancient techniques and philosophy.

Art Lineage: Mitsuhiro Saruta
Laking Sensei trained directly under Saruta Sensei.
Mitsuhiro Saruta is thought by many prominent swords man, to be the best target cutter in the world. His good balance and posture was most likely developed during his long years of Kendo. Saruta sensei was one of the top high school kendo contenders in the country, when he was young. Because of his love of the sword and kendo, he practiced cutting at a young age.

He was scouted out by Nakamura Taisaburo and there were plans to make Saruta the next soke of Nakamura Ryu after Nakamura sensei's passing away , but Saruta sensei didn't get a long with some of the others in the ranks of Nakamura Ryu Batto Do. Saruta sensei left the art and began teaching under the name of Ryu Sei Ken Batto Do. Even while under the Nakamura flag, Saruta sensei refused to teach Nakamura Ryu and only taught the kata now taught as Ryu Sei Ken.
